Do I need a password?

No. Under "Sign in" you type your email and get a link. Tap the button in the email and you're in. The link works once and expires in a few minutes; you can open it on any device.

How do I sign up for a tournament?

Under "See tournaments" pick the tournament and fill in the registration form. It only shows while registration is open.

What do I fill in for each tournament type?
TypeWho signs upWhat the form asks for
TeamThe captain or the coachTeam name and one player per line (up to 20). The coach ticks "I'm the coach (not playing)" and isn't counted in the roster.
PairEither playerYour name and your partner's.
Individual (league)Each playerYour name. The organizer places you on a team.
King/Queen of the beachEach playerYour name. In your pool you partner with every other player.
How do I pay?

Payment happens outside the app. After signing up you see the link or instructions the organizer left. Once the organizer confirms your payment, your entry changes from "Pending" to "Paid".

Where can I see the tournament rules?

On the tournament page, under "Documents", if the organizer attached them. They open on any phone.

Where do I see my registrations?

Under "My registrations" on the home page. It lists each tournament, whether your payment is recorded, and how to pay if it isn't.

Who enters the scores?

The organizer, or the referees they add. When a referee scores a match point by point, the score shows up instantly on the tournament page; anyone can follow it without signing in.

How do I follow a match live?

Open the tournament page: "Live now" at the top shows the matches being scored, the current set and the points. The page updates on its own; no need to sign in.

How does the ranking work?

When a tournament ends, each final placement earns the points the organizer set. In pairs and individual events each player earns points; in team events the team does. In a circuit you see a provisional ranking after each stage and the final one when all stages are done.

Why should I always spell my name the same way?

The ranking adds points up by name. If one tournament says "Juan Pérez" and another "J. Pérez", they count as two different players.

Is the app available in other languages?

Yes: Spanish, Portuguese and English. Switch on the home page or at the top of this page.

Organizers

What does a tournament look like from start to finish?
  1. Under "I'm an organizer" sign in with your email and create your club or federation page (name and address, for example club-olimpia). You only do this once. Before you can create tournaments, Tornivo approves the organization and lets you know by email.
  2. Tap "New tournament" and fill in name, discipline, category, format, registration type, date, venue, sets to win, payment details and the points table.
  3. Change the status to "Registration open" and share the tournament link.
  4. As entries come in, mark who paid and adjust entry points or seeds.
  5. Tap "Load entry points from the ranking" (optional), then "Generate matches".
  6. Enter each match result set by set when it ends, or let a referee score it point by point live. Either way, the bracket advances on its own.
  7. In formats with pools, once the pools are done choose what comes next (single elimination, double, double until semifinals or another pool phase) and how many qualify per pool, then tap "Build the next phase".
  8. At the end tap "Finish tournament and add to ranking".
Which formats are there?
FormatHow it's played
Pools + single eliminationRound-robin pools; the best of each pool go into a single-elimination bracket.
Pools + double eliminationSame, but the qualifiers play double elimination ("only until semifinals" can be checked).
Round robin (league)One table; everyone plays everyone, once or several times (rounds). Optional playoffs at the end.
Single eliminationStraight bracket; lose and you're out.
Double eliminationWinners and losers brackets: one loss drops you to the losers bracket, a second knocks you out. "Only until semifinals" option: when 4 remain, cross semis and a final are single matches.
King/Queen of the beachIndividual sign-up, automatic pools of 4 or 5; each player partners once with everyone in the pool.
How are the groups and bracket built?

By seeding: first anyone with a manual seed, then everyone else by entry points. Groups are filled in a snake order to keep the top seeds apart. In Entries, "Automatic seeding" orders everyone by points; then you can change a seed number or use ▲ ▼ and save.

Can I change the entries after generating matches?

Yes, with the "Adjust groups and brackets" card in the tournament panel:

  1. "Swap": swaps two entries in the current phase, for example to move someone to another group or change a matchup. Only if neither has played yet in that phase.
  2. "Delete matches and generate again": deletes every match and result. Then you can change entries, seeding, format or groups and generate again. It asks you to type the tournament name and can't be undone.
How do I add someone who signed up outside the app?

In Entries, with "Add entry". They don't need an account.

How are days, times and courts scheduled?

When you create the tournament you pick the start date and, if it runs more than one day, the end date. You can also set the number of courts and, for each day, the time of the first match (and, optionally, the latest finish).

With that, when matches are generated each one gets a day, time and court automatically, and nobody plays two matches at once. Standard length: 25 min for 1-set beach, 40 min for best-of-3 beach and 1 hour indoor. New bracket matches are scheduled as soon as they are set.

Everything can be changed during the tournament: on each match, "Day, time and court"; in the panel, "Dates and times" for each phase's day and "Recalculate times" to redo unfinished matches (manual changes are lost). It shows on the public page.

How do I fix a misspelled name?

In Entries, tap "Fix names" on the entry. You can change the entry name and each player's name at any time, also during or after the tournament. The fixed name shows in matches, tables and the ranking.

Can someone else manage the organization with me?

Yes. In the panel, inside your organization, open "Admins" and add their email. They sign in with that email and manage tournaments and circuits with you. Only whoever created the organization can delete it.

Can I show the results on my club's website?

Yes. In the tournament dashboard open "Embed on my site", choose what to show (everything, final placings, tables or matches) and the language, and tap "Copy code". Paste it into your site: in WordPress, in a "Custom HTML" block; in Wix, in "Embed code".

Results update by themselves, live scores included, so you paste it only once. In the dashboard, inside your organization, "Embed the tournament calendar" shows the list of all your tournaments.

Is there a 3rd place match?

If you want one, yes. Tick "3rd place match" when creating the tournament, in "Edit settings" or when setting up playoffs. When both semifinals are over, the app creates the match between the losers; the winner places 3rd and the loser 4th.

It applies to single elimination (playoffs and pools + knockout too) and to double elimination until semis. Full double elimination doesn't need it: 3rd comes from the losers bracket final. If a semifinal was a bye, there is no 3rd place match.

Can teams meet more than once in a league? What about playoffs?

Yes. When creating the tournament you pick the rounds: 1 (single round robin), 2 (home and away) or up to 6. In each round everyone plays everyone once and home/away flips. It also applies to pool phases.

When the league ends, the panel lets you choose: finish the tournament with the standings, or set up playoffs with the top teams (single or double elimination, or another pool phase). Those who miss the playoffs are ranked by the league table.

How do leagues with individual sign-up work?

Create the teams with "New team" and assign each individual player to one. Matches are played between teams.

How do I set up the points table?

Each row is a placement and its points. A placement without a row takes the points of the row above: if you set 5th = 45, 6th also earns 45.

How are ties broken in groups and leagues?

When creating the tournament you pick up to 5 criteria, in the order you want: points, number of wins, set ratio, set difference, point ratio, point difference and head-to-head. Each criterion only separates those still tied on the previous ones. If you pick none, points, wins, set ratio and point ratio are used.

Head-to-head only decides when exactly two are tied; with three or more, it moves to the next criterion. If they met several times (home and away), whoever won more of those matches goes ahead; if even, it moves to the next one.

Can I change the settings after creating the tournament?

Yes, with "Edit settings" in the tournament panel. Name, date, place, points table and tiebreak criteria can always be changed; if the tournament already finished, placements and ranking are recalculated on save. Format, type and number of groups stay locked while matches exist.

Can pools be 1 set and the finals best of 3?

Yes. In "Match format" choose the sets (1 set, best of 3 or best of 5), the points per set (for example 15, 21 or 28) and the deciding set. In "Finals format" choose from which round it changes (final only, semifinals and final, or from quarterfinals) and how many sets and points are played. The referee and manual entry use each match's format.

What is a circuit?

Several tournaments (stages) that add up to one ranking per category. Create it in the panel and, when creating each tournament, pick the circuit and stage number.

How do I collect entry fees?

When creating the tournament, add a payment link and instructions (for example, a bank alias or account). Players see them when they sign up. Payment happens outside the app and you mark "Paid".

Can a club have more than one organizer?

For now each club's administrator is the person who created it.

Can I have several organizations?

Yes. If you run tournaments at different clubs or cities, tap "Create another organization" at the bottom of the panel. Each one has its own page, tournaments and circuits, and they all show in your panel.

How do I get the tournament report as a PDF?

On the tournament page (or in the panel) tap "Report (PDF)", then "Download PDF". The print dialog opens: choose "Save as PDF". It includes the final standings, entries with seeding, group standings, every result and bracket, and the ranking.

How does live scoring with a referee work?
  1. In the tournament panel, under "Referees", add each referee's email.
  2. The referee signs in with that email (magic link) and taps "I'm a referee" on the home page to see pending matches.
  3. They pick a match and tap the button of the team that wins each point. Mistake? "Undo last point".
  4. Sets close on their own (25 points indoor, 21 on the beach, the deciding set to 15, always by 2).
  5. At the end they tap "End match and save result": the result is saved and the bracket advances.

The tournament must be "In progress" to show up in the referee's list. On the beach, the app flags side switches (every 7 points, every 5 in the deciding set). You can also score from the panel with "Score live" on each match.

Can I enter the result afterwards, without live scoring?

Yes. Live scoring is optional. In the tournament panel, type each set's points for the match and tap "Save", as always.

How do I delete a tournament, a circuit or my organization?

The delete button is at the bottom of the tournament page (or of the panel, for circuits and the organization). To confirm, type the exact name. It's permanent: entries, matches and ranking points are deleted. If you delete a circuit, its tournaments stay as standalone tournaments.
